APC/PennDOT District 8-0 Project Managers Workshop

March 19, 2010
PennDOT Materials and Testing Laboratory, Harrisburg, PA

APC and District 8-0 are again sponsoring a Project Team Workshop for all field-level industry employees. This successful program is in its forth year and is designed to open lines of communication in order to develop working relationships at the project and field level. The workshop will build upon last year’s theme (Delivering a Quality Project) by reviewing the measures developed by the attendees and seeking to implement them on 2010 jobs. The following is a summary of the day’s agenda:

  • How to specifically measure quality on a project
  • Two Project Presentations—I-81 and I-83
  • Tour of new PennDOT Testing Lab
  • How Emerging Trends will Change the Industry

The new and improved workshop format is designed to bring project managers, consultant inspectors, and project-level management employees together to better solve problems at the field level before they grow into major issues. Your project personnel and your company will benefit greatly by participating and there will be many opportunities for networking. By sending your employees, they will develop working relationships with department personnel before the construction season kicks off. Participants in the workshop will need to be open and be willing to share ideas. While the agenda will move quickly, there will be periods for participants to have an enjoyable but educational day.
