APC Contractor Members Asked to Provide Market Outlook Data

PENNDOT LOGOThat latest buzz in Harrisburg is that a jobs creation package is being put together by government leaders and will be announced in the next month. And, despite assurances to the contrary, Governor Corbett and the General Assembly did not address the transportation funding issue in 2011. Consequently, PennDOT projections for the 2012 construction season, without a new funding plan, are for a reduction in lettings of about $500 million, or 25 percent. As part of our efforts to demonstrate the economic consequences of the state’s inaction during a time when job creation is taking center stage in Harrisburg, we’re asking all APC contractor members to respond to a brief survey.

APC is urging you to complete this brief survey so we can represent your interests in Harrisburg. If you're unable to answer these questions, we ask that you forward this email to the appropriate person in your company such as the CEO, President, Vice President or whomever in your organizational structure can accurately answer employment-level questions.

We assure you this data will NOT be used to specifically identify your company. It will be collectively compiled so that an "aggregate, across-the-board" picture can be made of the state of the highway construction industry in Pennsylvania.
