PennDOT Issues Special Provision Addressing Diesel Vehicle Emission Control Requirements for City of Philadelphia Projects

The letter and Standard Special Provision cover (linked below) “DIESEL VEHICLE EMISSION CONTROL REQUIREMENTS FOR CITY OF PHILADELPHIA FEDERAL-AID MUNICIPAL (FAM) PROJECTS.

The specification establishes diesel engine and diesel engine retrofit requirements for off-road construction vehicles which will be used on the project. Also included is a copy of the Air Management Services Diesel Emission Certification which must be submitted by low bidders within a specified time after bid opening.
