State Board of Crane Operators Proposes Guiding Regulations

The State Board of Crane Operators proposed the initial draft of the guiding regulations to implement the Crane Operator Licensure Law enacted on October 9, 2008. The new law created a state board to oversee the licensing of all crane operators in the Commonwealth with some limited exceptions. All appointments to the board have been made and the board has been charged with regulating and enforcing the new law. The APC Safety Committee has been monitoring the progress of the regulations and one of the board members presented an update at the 2009 APC/PennDOT Fall Seminar. The board then has until August to respond to all comments received. Please contact Jason Wagner at 717-238-2513 x111 for assistance in submitting comments.
