ASSOCIATED PENNSYLVANIA CONSTRUCTORS
WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
In general, you can visit many of our web pages without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself. We may track the Internet domain address from which people visit us and analyze this data for trends and statistics, but individual users will remain anonymous, unless you voluntarily tell us who you are. The only way we know something about you is when you use a personalized service, such as Member Log-in, or you voluntarily disclose your information such as a credit card number, address, phone number, fax number, email address, demographic, or other personal or financial information when you transact business at our Site, post information on/in a forum, chat room, blog or bulletin board, sign up to receive a newsletter, e-mail or update, communicate by sending us an e-mail, complete a survey or fill in a form. Whether or not to provide such information is completely your own choice. But if you choose not to provide the information we request, you may be unable to access certain services, resources, offers or content on our Site.
WHY DO WE COLLECT IT?
Our Site may offer opportunities for you to provide personal information that we may use to provide you with more resources, to allow you to participate in chat rooms, blogs, bulletins and forums or to receive newsletters and e-mails, to help you quickly find services or information, to help us create web site content most relevant to you, and to alert you to updated information and important changes to the Site.
HOW DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION?
Like many standard website servers, we may use log files. This includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the website, track users’ movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. Log files are tied to personally identifiable information to enable our web-based services.
We may use pixels, or transparent GIF files, to help manage online advertising. These GIF files are provided by our ad management partner. These files enable us or our partner to recognize a unique cookie on your Web browser, which in turn enables us to learn which advertisements bring users to our Site. The cookie may be placed by us, or by another advertiser. The information that we collect and share through cookies and other technology in managing advertising is generally anonymous and not personally identifiable. Generally, it does not contain your name, address, telephone number, or e-mail address.
HOW DOES APC PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION?
From time to time we may contract with companies or persons to provide certain services including data management, promotional services, etc. We call them our Service Providers. We provide our Service Providers with the information needed for them to perform these services. We also ask our Service Providers to confirm that their privacy policies are consistent with ours.
Although unlikely, in certain instances we may disclose your personally identifiable information, without notice, if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on APC; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of APC; or (c) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of this Site or the public.
We use tools to protect the security of your personal information that you share with us. Unfortunately, however, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of any information you transmit to or from our Site, and you do so at your own risk.
APC periodically uses e-mail to send newsletters and to send updates about resources and services offered by us. We use the e-mail address(es) you provide during registration or otherwise for these purposes.
EDITING, UPDATING, CORRECTING AND DELETING INFORMATION ABOUT YOU.
We want to communicate with you only if you want to hear from us. If you prefer not to receive information from us, please let us know by sending us an e-mail at email@example.com. Please be sure to include your e-mail address, full name, and specifically what information you do not want to receive. If you would like to update or correct your e-mail address, street address or other personal information with us, please contact us the same way.
Please note that sometimes these requests may take some time to be effective, and if you delete certain information, you may not be able to continue to access certain portions of our Site without entering additional information.
CHILDREN’S PRIVACY (UNDER THE AGE OF 13)
APC takes children’s privacy seriously and wants children and parents to understand that our Site is not intended for children under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 13, please do not use this Site. We do not seek to collect personal information about children through our Site. If we become aware that a person submitting personal information to us through any part of our Site is a child under the age of 13, we delete the information as soon as we discover it and do not use it for any purpose, nor do we disclose it to third parties. Since we do not seek to collect any personal information about children, and we delete information collected inadvertently as soon as we discover that a child has submitted it, we typically retain no information about children that could be reviewed or deleted. If a parent requests review or deletion of information about their child before we have discovered and deleted the information, we will of course honor that request. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org (e-mail address).
