Today, APC is urging industry members and advocates to contact their legislators and ask them to support a provision that would phase out ALL transfers from the Motor License Fund for non-transportation purposes in the FY2023-24 budget.
Thanks to the consistent pressure of our advocates over the years, lawmakers are in agreement that it is finally time to end the transfers from PA’s highway fund that support PA State Police operations. We cannot stop now. There are currently two proposals that lead to the end of the transfers, and we want to ensure that we see a version of this plan included in the final PA state budget this month. Funds raised to improve our roads, bridges, and highways should only be used for that purpose.
Remind your elected official that we’re relying on their support to finally make this happen as quickly as possible in this year’s budget.
