This week, APC participated in the American Road & Transportation Builders Association’s (ARTBA) Transportation Construction Coalition (TCC) Fly-in, joining industry advocates in Washington, D.C. to meet directly with Pennsylvania’s federal lawmakers. Discussions centered on two critical funding priorities: the need to reauthorize the federal surface transportation program that expires on September 30, and the recently reported support expressed by President Trump for a Federal Gas Tax Holiday — a move that could significantly impact highway funding streams relied upon by the construction industry. APC will continue to monitor developments on the gas tax holiday proposal closely and keep members informed as the situation evolves.
As always, APC remains committed to advocating for strong, stable funding at both the federal and state levels to support Pennsylvania’s transportation infrastructure needs.
