PennDOT will be upgrading ASTA Powerproject to Version 15 starting on 1/11/2021. During this upgrade the ASTA Web Portal will be down for one week. During that week all PennDOT employees will have the software upgraded to version 15 on their computer and all projects in the Web Portal will be upgraded as well. Business Partners will be able to download Version 15 of Powerproject once the Portal has been upgraded by selecting the name ASTA Powerproject on the home screen.
- Contractors can NOT Renew a License from the ASTA Web Portal early before it’s scheduled expiration. Therefore, if any Contractor has their ASTA License expire during that week, they will not be able to Renew a License to submit a schedule.
- PennDOT ADE’s, Field Inspectors, and Consultant Inspectors, are aware of this one-week downtime. ACEC/PA has been provided the same information regarding the upgrade. Notices have been placed in the ASTA Web portal, ECMS and PPCC.
- Contractor’s whose licenses will expire during the downtime were notified 1/6/2021. The Asta Web Portal will be available upon upgrade completion to download the new software and request a license.
- Contractor’s who have purchased their own Asta software should contact Dean Wheeler with Catalyst (firstname.lastname@example.org) to upgrade their software.
If you foresee any other concerns of the upcoming ASTA update please reach out to Aaron Hoover at the APC office.
