This week, the Keystone Transportation Funding Coalition met in the APC office with US Senator Pat Toomey.
Senator Toomey said he was hopeful that Congress would be able to produce a federal funding measure during the first half – or perhaps even the first quarter – of next year. The funding measure would likely NOT include a federal gas-tax increase but other revenue options are on the table, he said.
The meeting was well attended, with the APC board room nearly full and about 30 people tuning in via video conference. Several Coalition members engaged the senator with questions. We appreciate Senator Toomey’s time and attention, and we hope to continue the dialogue with our Congressional Delegation.
