Welcome! Associated Pennsylvania Constructors (“APC”) is committed to respecting your privacy and recognizing your need for appropriate protection and management of personally identifiable information you share with us on our website (“Site”) (the phrases “personally identifiable information” or “personal information” mean any information by which you can be identified, such as your name, address, telephone number, etc.).  The purpose of this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) is to explain to you what personally identifiable information we may collect from you when you visit our Site, how we use such information, and the choices you have regarding our use of, and your ability to review and correct the information.  This Privacy Policy applies only to users accessing our Site from the United States.  Please read our complete Privacy Policy.  Please review this page periodically, as we will occasionally update this Privacy Policy.  We want you to be fully aware and confident of how your information is used on our Site because we appreciate the trust you have placed in us.  By using our Site, you consent to the collection and use of your information by APC, as stated below.  This Privacy Policy is part of, and governed by APC’s Terms of Use (which is available at this link).  If you do not agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy or the Terms of Use, please do not use this Site.

In general, you can visit many of our web pages without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself.  We may track the Internet domain address from which people visit us and analyze this data for trends and statistics, but individual users will remain anonymous, unless you voluntarily tell us who you are.  The only way we know something about you is when you use a personalized service, such as Member Log-in, or you voluntarily disclose your information such as a credit card number, address, phone number, fax number, email address, demographic, or other personal or financial information when you transact business at our Site, post information on/in a forum, chat room, blog or bulletin board, sign up to receive a newsletter, e-mail or update, communicate by sending us an e-mail, complete a survey or fill in a form.  Whether or not to provide such information is completely your own choice.  But if you choose not to provide the information we request, you may be unable to access certain services, resources, offers or content on our Site.

The Site may contain links to other sites.  APC does not endorse, approve, certify, or control these other websites, and we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, efficacy, or timeliness of the information contained on these sites.  APC is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of such websites.  Any information you provide to one of these other websites will be governed by the privacy policy of that website.  We strongly recommend that you refer to each website’s privacy policy before giving out any personal information on their site.

Our Site may offer opportunities for you to provide personal information that we may use to provide you with more resources, to allow you to participate in chat rooms, blogs, bulletins and forums or to receive newsletters and e-mails, to help you quickly find services or information, to help us create web site content most relevant to you, and to alert you to updated information and important changes to the Site.

Like most businesses, we may use “cookie” technology on our Site to track user trends and patterns to better understand our user base and improve the quality of our services.  “Cookies” are pieces of information that a website sends to your computer while you are viewing the website, which may then be stored on your hard drive so we can recognize you when you return to our Site.  Generally, we may use cookies to remind us of who you are, tailor our resources and services to suit your personal interests, estimate our audience size and/or analyze your visiting patterns.  You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent.  Be aware, however, that some parts of the Site may not function properly if you refuse cookies.  Computer “cookies” are safe and are simply the best way for us to offer you the most enjoyable user environment.

We may contract with third parties who may use cookies and collect information on our behalf.  These third parties are prohibited by our contract with them from sharing that information with anyone other than us or our Service Providers (defined below).

Like many standard website servers, we may use log files.  This includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the website, track users’ movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.  Log files are tied to personally identifiable information to enable our web-based services.

We may use pixels, or transparent GIF files, to help manage online advertising.  These GIF files are provided by our ad management partner.  These files enable us or our partner to recognize a unique cookie on your Web browser, which in turn enables us to learn which advertisements bring users to our Site.  The cookie may be placed by us, or by another advertiser.  The information that we collect and share through cookies and other technology in managing advertising is generally anonymous and not personally identifiable.  Generally, it does not contain your name, address, telephone number, or e-mail address.

From time to time we may contract with companies or persons to provide certain services including data management, promotional services, etc.  We call them our Service Providers.  We provide our Service Providers with the information needed for them to perform these services.  We also ask our Service Providers to confirm that their privacy policies are consistent with ours.

Although unlikely, in certain instances we may disclose your personally identifiable information, without notice, if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on APC; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of APC; or (c) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of this Site or the public.

We use tools to protect the security of your personal information that you share with us.  Unfortunately, however, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.  As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of any information you transmit to or from our Site, and you do so at your own risk.

APC periodically uses e-mail to send newsletters and to send updates about resources and services offered by us.  We use the e-mail address(es) you provide during registration or otherwise for these purposes.

We want to communicate with you only if you want to hear from us.  If you prefer not to receive information from us, please let us know by sending us an e-mail at  Please be sure to include your e-mail address, full name, and specifically what information you do not want to receive.  If you would like to update or correct your e-mail address, street address or other personal information with us, please contact us the same way.

Please note that sometimes these requests may take some time to be effective, and if you delete certain information, you may not be able to continue to access certain portions of our Site without entering additional information.

APC takes children’s privacy seriously and wants children and parents to understand that our Site is not intended for children under the age of 13.  If you are under the age of 13, please do not use this Site.  We do not seek to collect personal information about children through our Site.  If we become aware that a person submitting personal information to us through any part of our Site is a child under the age of 13, we delete the information as soon as we discover it and do not use it for any purpose, nor do we disclose it to third parties.  Since we do not seek to collect any personal information about children, and we delete information collected inadvertently as soon as we discover that a child has submitted it, we typically retain no information about children that could be reviewed or deleted.  If a parent requests review or deletion of information about their child before we have discovered and deleted the information, we will of course honor that request. Please contact us at (e-mail address).

APC strives to protect your privacy.  Should you have questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy, please contact us via e-mail at, or write to:  Associated Pennsylvania Constructors, Attn: Robert E. Latham, 800 North Third Street, Harrisburg, PA 17102.
